I was at the supermarket today. While packing a bunch of cans, vegetables and other stuff into my backpack, I noticed this young couple with a baby. They seemed like teenagers, sitting on the curbside. The guy kept looking over to me. After I had put on my helmet, and started unlocking the bike, I was kind of surprised ...by the young guy. He was now beside me, (I flashed on the Seinfeld sidler episode) and he says: "You're going to ride this bike. I said: "Of course, it beats walking". He then adds: "With all that stuff. Wow." I rode off thinking: "I guess I'm slowly losing the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man image". Nice way to sidle up to 61!

From Seinfeld: The Merv Griffin Show Elaine enters with coffee stains:
ELAINE: Hey. What's going on?
GEORGE: Hey (sees coffee marks) Art Garfunkle?
ELAINE: No, Castro.
GEORGE: Right.
ELAINE: All because of this creepy new guy at work. He just - he just comes out of nowhere and he's right
next to you!
JERRY: So he just sidles up?
ELAINE: That's right! He's a real sidler.
JERRY: Maybe you didn't see him.
ELAINE: You never see him. He sidled me again in my office. I was sitting there making a cup of soup
singing that song from "The Lion King".
JERRY: Hakuna Matata?
ELAINE: I thought I was alone.
JERRY: That doesn't make it right.

I'm going to put on my Sunday best, and with a spring in my step, sing: "Happy Birthday to me!"

Fortune has allowed me to come full circle and return to my earlier interest in photography. I am at that age were some weight loss would be beneficial. I certainly don't believe all photographers need to starve, but my initial goals are realistic, if not humble. The industry has changed tremendously, but the possibilities are unlimited. I am grateful that my parents' gave me a generic name. It's allowed me to explore numerous paths unhindered.
