Starting to dose off, I rested my chin on my arm and thought: Nay, faith, let me not play a woman; I have a beard coming.
Wide awake now, I heard a rustling sound outside my window. One of the cats joined me, and together we stared at the bushes outlined in the stark light of the moon. We must have been at this for a long time, because I remember thinking: I am a weary of this moon; would he would change!
Pepper, the black cat lost interest. She stretched, licked her fur for a while, and I swear, mumbled: "Lord, what fools these mortals be!" as she arched her back, and sauntered out the room.
Lovers and madmen have such seething brains,
Such shaping fantasies, that apprehend
More than cool reason ever comprehends.
The lunatic, the lover, and the poet,
Are of imagination all compact:
One sees more devils than vast hell can hold —
That is the madman;
The lover, all as frantic,
Sees Helen’s beauty in a brow of Egypt.
The poet’s eye, in a fine frenzy rolling,
Doth glance from heaven to earth, from earth to heaven;
And, as imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet’s pen
Turns them to shapes, and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.
Shakespeare was never this interesting when I took Lit 101 in college. "Merry and tragical? Tedious and brief? That is hot ice and wonderous strange snow."

Fortune has allowed me to come full circle and return to my earlier interest in photography. I am at that age were some weight loss would be beneficial. I certainly don't believe all photographers need to starve, but my initial goals are realistic, if not humble. The industry has changed tremendously, but the possibilities are unlimited. I am grateful that my parents' gave me a generic name. It's allowed me to explore numerous paths unhindered.

If you own a blog, or if you read them, I recommend signing up with Technorati (it's free and takes a couple minutes). And if you enjoy this blog, I encourage you, please, to "favorite" it.
