The competition is picking up among the GetFit teams. My team is ranked 30'th among 250 teams. Some teams have encouraged their members to use a pedometer. I have been a "porker" at times, but even at my worst, I could walk a mile in twenty minutes. Some individuals are recording "one hour" of time (because that is what their $15.00 unit "Says I walked") for each mile recorded by their pedometer. So be it. I'm trying to lose weight, not pats on the back by team mates. It will take me a while to perfect my technique, but the rowing machine is a welcome addition to the routine.
Concept2 got its start in 1976 in the back of a bread truck when Dick and Pete Dreissigacker, fresh from Olympic training, started making composite racing oars—now the oar of choice among the world's rowers. They went on to create the Concept2 Indoor Rower, now used worldwide by Olympic athletes, cardiac rehab patients and every caliber of rower in between.

Blogs are ranked in various ways, and one of the more significant ones (besides linking or subscribing) happens via Technorati. In brief, Technorati tracks millions of blogs and lets users search them, tag them, and rank them. If you own a blog, or if you read them, I recommend signing up with Technorati (it's free and takes a couple minutes). And if you enjoy this blog, I encourage you, please, to "favorite" it.
