Americana refers to artifacts of the culture of the United States. Examples of this culture include baseball, apple pie, jazz, Superman, the Diner, George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, the music of Aaron Copland (notably his Fanfare for the Common Man), and American folk art, such as that of Norman Rockwell.
Plenty of music and plenty of clowns make any parade a child's delight. Add floats, "Shriners" on trucks and carts and you have a parade for the ages! A traditional 4'th of July (Independence Day) celebration includes: a pancake breakfast, a parade, a lobster and clam bake (with corn on the cob), a concert on the green, all ending with fireworks. Bar Harbor, Maine USA does it with style.

Fortune has allowed me to come full circle and return to my earlier interest in photography. I am at that age were some weight loss would be beneficial. I certainly don't believe all photographers need to starve, but my initial goals are realistic, if not humble. The industry has changed tremendously, but the possibilities are unlimited. I am grateful that my parents' gave me a generic name. It's allowed me to explore numerous paths unhindered.
