This image was designed with digital tools to replicate the appearance and texture of pen, ink and watercolor with a batik effect. I have been attempting to replicate a style similar to Batik. Batik is a wax-resist dyeing technique used on textile. Batik is found in several countries of West Africa, and in Asia. However, it is in Indonesia that it is considered a national art form.
Every morning, during our visit to Tampa, Florida, my brother would run for an hour at dawn. I would snap pictures in this beautiful park while he did his run. A small patch at the park's entrance, known as Jules Verne Park, honors the French writer who featured Tampa in his 1865 novel, "From the Earth to the Moon." The entire park was known as Jules Verne Park until 1920. A quaint wooden pier extends 960 feet into Old Tampa Bay. Stroll to the end and swap fish stories with sun-baked anglers. The park was nominated for Best Make-Out Spot for being one of Tampa's most popular spots to smooch.

Blogs are ranked in various ways, and one of the more significant ones (besides linking or subscribing) happens via Technorati. In brief, Technorati tracks millions of blogs and lets users search them, tag them, and rank them. If you own a blog, or if you read them, I recommend signing up with Technorati (it's free and takes a couple minutes). And if you enjoy this blog, I encourage you, please, to "favorite" it.
